Here at RJ Young we love many things, one being sports. From national events like March Madness, to local teams like our Tennessee Titans and Ole Miss Football, we love them all. The office is always buzzing with excitement and friendly banter between employees about whose team will come out on top. While everybody is gearing up for the Final Four this weekend, we can’t forget America’s favorite past time… BASEBALL! Today is officially Opening Day and for many baseball fans this signifies that warmer weather, grilled food and fresh cut grass are all right around the corner. It’s that rejuvenating time of year.
Currently RJ Young sponsors the Mississippi Braves, Chattanooga Lookouts, Rome Braves and most recently partnered with the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Last week we hosted a Document Management Lunch & Learn at the Bowling Green Ballpark, home of the Hot Rods. To prepare for the event, Roscoe The Grease Monkey, helped us deliver invitations to the community. Click here to see more pictures from our special delivery.
The folks at the Hot Rods are great to work with and were instrumental in making the event a success. The meetings space in the Executive Club Room was intimate with a grand view of the field (including two staff members’ adorable dogs playing in the outfield) and was accompanied by delicious food. Congratulations to Cindy Gaffney from Bowling Green Technical College for winning the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a Hot Rods game!

Our Memphis team was able to attend the Get Motivated Conference in Memphis on Monday. The day started off with a bang as Steve Forbes spoke about his success and experience in the financial industry. Next up with the one and only Terry Bradshaw. He took a humorous approach to success and had us all laughing with him as he talked about his failures and being the “dumb” football guy growing up.
Another one of our favorites was Lou Holtz, known for his coaching tenure at Notre Dame. He spoke about having dreams and being happy in everything you do. He talked about choices and making sure you make the right choices for yourself and those around you.
It was a beautiful day and we made the best of it by grabbing lunch on a patio right by the FedEx Forum. The Memphis team had a wonderful time and I think it’s fair to say we all got motivated!!
Our habitat build started this past weekend and we had so much fun helping build this home for a very deserving family!
